This project will build a library at angwanjikwoyi community of Karu, providing a rich supply of books and critical literacy support service to 500 OVC affected by the poverty situation in the community.
Over 85% of children between the age of 4 - 8 years old are drop out of school and 75% of the children enrolled in school has no access to school supplies such as books and a conducive learning environment. This has been a challenge for decades there by giving way for a high rate of illiteracy level among the children ( OVC). this issue affected the socioeconomic growth and development of the people living in the community.
Global vision Educational Foundation provide education for the OVC through the provision of scholarship and children libraries for the ovc's in the local community. the children will have access to qualitative literacy resources and a conducive learning environment which will tackle the challenges of school drop out; were by taking this huge numbers of this children off the street to prepare them ahead to over come the feature challenges academically.
(1) It will create a general awareness and promote a basic education for the ovc in the rural communities. (2) The Project will provide accessible library with sufficient reading material and recourse for the ovc's. (3) Re - awakening and inculcate the reading culture among the ovc and all the children in our societies. (4) Reduce child labor, child trafficking, girl child early marriage and child restiveness in the community. An estimated number of 5000 children are expected to benefit.
