People in rural areas travel long distances to look for water, some will travel between 2-7 miles to look for water most especially during the dry seasons. However, with the water charity project, Friends for human survival and development charity organization save these people these long distances by bringing water closer to them. This is done by constructing an artisan borehole which is enough to provide to a small village in Eastern Uganda
People in rural areas travel long distances to look for water, some will travel between 2-7 miles to look for water most especially during the dry seasons. However, with the water charity project, Friends for human survival and development charity organization save these people these long distances by bringing water closer to them.
Water under this project is not donated by providing it through water bottles or jerrycans but rather by creating a reliable water source and this is a borehole. This type of water charity through building artisan boreholes is enough to serve clean and safe water to a small village. There is a great need for water in these areas to the extent that before we could even finish the construction of a certain borehole, people had already lined up for water access.
Water is a basic need of life. With it, good health and development can be achieved. Therefore the construction of boreholes will help people access clean and healthy water and this will contribute to the good health, well being, and development of the community in the long run
