A CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR GIFT!

A CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR GIFT!

Let us together enjoy Christmas and New Year Seasons’ Holiday.

In Burundi, Christmas and New Year days, people expect for 4 things to happen in their families and community: (1) Celebrate Jesus’ birth day (2) Worship and Thanks Giving to God, (3) Eat good food and drink, (4) and parents buy new clothing to their children and husbands to their wives.

These two celebrations are going to be celebrated when many families in Burundi are not able to get enough food to feed their families and when there are still many widows and orphans who do not have a shelter.

As you can see from the pictures, this is a widow and her two kids who got a new home as a Christmas and New Year gift. From the attached pictures, please compare the house in which she used to live in and the new home where she lives today. You can help us build 25 homes for 25 widow families during these Christmas and New Year Holiday seasons. It would make them smile again and improve their living conditions.

Enabling a widow family to improve the condition of living by providing an affordable home, which costs $998; a home that accommodates a family of 7 to 10 people could be a good Christmas and New Year gift. Providing a home to a widow and needy family will help reduce the expansion of AIDS and the mortality of unprivileged children occasioned by the present conditions of their living. A home is one of the most important things that contribute to a good living of a human being.

Until the time I am writing this report, 5 houses  of the 100 houses we plan to build for 100 widow families in Buganda have been completed.  95  widow families and orphans still need shelters, where they can live in security and peace. Bricks made and houses that have been already built at the stage of roofing are being destroyed by rains. We continue to hope that donors and friends will enable us to provide shelters to those widows and complete the construction of 100 homes, as it has been planned.

Until our project is fully funded, we will be sending you regular reports about our work. You'll know what your donation has helped fund, what accomplishments we have achieved and what our current needs are. Donation can be made through the following link: http://www.globalgiving.org/projects/providing-shelters-to-100-widows-in-buganda/

Much thanks and appreciation to each of ours donors and friends who are helping us to complete this project.
