The educational opportunities for a girl child and career oriented skills; the girls have always been dependent on father, brother before marriage and upon her husband after marriage. Most of their time and efforts are devoted for family welfare in on-forms and off-forms duties but their contribution is not economically valued. This is the overall scenario of average women. Thus without education and career oriented skill their dependency increase, making them unemployed & doing household chores
In Faisalabad, which is the third largest city of Pakistan. Most of the communities in the rural and urban poor areas of the District are still poorly/less educated or illiterate. Along with that, this target sector does not have appropriate skills to earn their respectful income. This especially affects the women, who with no or less education and being unskilled have less opportunity for employment. This is also due to cultural barriers, discriminatory laws imposed in the name of religion
This Project will trained 600 girls and women to start small business by making handicraft and stitching cloths. And EACH has established community based Primary schools for their formal Education as well. We have Community based school at their local communities than they do not have to go far to get education. This Project will Educate the girls and give them skill to earn money. EACH will help 600 women to earn respectable and valuable money to participate in their family income.
* 600 rural and poor urban women/girls trained in making handicraft items and stitching cloths in the Faisalabad District. * Observed 33% increase in income of the target household * 600 rural and urban poor household women/girls contributing in the family income and In family and community decision-making process * 600 women/girls got Primary education and will be able to read and write *5 Poor teachers will get little bit stipend and will be earn some money by educating girls
