The Democratic Society Charity Foundation carried out activities in the following priority areas:
- Continuation of work on the creation and support of modern students studying in the specialty "Journalism", favorable for the harmonious learning and development of students.
- Organize a space for internships for students, mainly refugee children, while maintaining maximum safety for all participants in the internship process in our media.
- Expansion of forms and types of cooperation with students of various higher educational institutions, transparency and openness of the work of our foundation through the work of websites, in social networks;
- Provision of various types of tutoring assistance to participants in the student internship process.
- Organization of the student internship process on the basis of a personally oriented pedagogy of cooperation, an integrative approach to organizing internships in our media.
- Implementation of an alternative program for the formation of a culture of professional thinking of students.
- Use of innovative approaches to revealing the creative abilities of students.
- Education of students' personalities who strive to obtain the necessary journalistic information throughout the day.
- Formation of the ability to practical and creative application of knowledge.
- Education of a culture of professional thinking.
- Increase the professional competence of students, future journalists, in creating an effective media environment that contributes to the implementation of the principles of independent media activities.
- Implementation of the process of assessing and developing an individual activity plan for each student;
- Individualization of the internship process (adaptation/modification).
The purpose of the Foundation's activities is to form the foundations of the worldview of a holistic, vitally active, humanistically oriented individual - a student (s) - citizen (s) of a democratic society, who (a) in his/her life will profess national-cultural, universal and civic values. The purpose is to form non-standard thinking in students, to cultivate interest in inventive abilities, to interest in the desire to learn about the world and make discoveries. To teach students to observe and understand how the world around them provides inexhaustible material for solving various social problems.
Improving the quality of the educational process through systematic analysis and solving problems of forming socio-moral values of the individual;
– introduction of modern methods and innovative technologies in interaction with families of pupils, in order to ensure the requests of parents, provide assistance in the upbringing and development of students.
Tutors - a competency-based approach to personality development, balance of acquired knowledge, skills, abilities, formed desires, interests, intentions and personal qualities and strong-willed behavior of students;
- giving priority to socio-moral development of the individual, forming in students to coordinate personal interests with collective ones;
- forming in students a holistic, realistic picture of the world, the foundations of worldview;
- ensuring individual personal development. Ensuring continuity and prospects in the educational process.

- Formation of positive motivation of education seekers to educational activities is carried out through the development of life competencies necessary for successful self-realization in society.
Priority tasks are:
- directing the educational process to achieve socially significant results - the acquisition of life competencies, the development of basic personal qualities in journalistic activities;
- increasing the professional and qualification level of tutors for the organization of educational and cognitive activities on the basis of partnership interaction between tutors and students;
- providing educational, pedagogical and correctional and developmental services to students;
- creating a subject-specific developmental environment that will contribute to ensuring the effective formation of students' necessary competencies, skills of independent and joint activity, active interaction in society, in order to realize their own capabilities.
We thank colleges and volunteers, GlobalGiving, Friends of our Foundation, donors, members, and other supporters for sharing their resources of time and treasure to assist us in making year progressive.
We shaped the struggle for civil rights and women’s rights. We seemed to know that Ukraine is an idea, if not yet a fact.
We all have a responsibility to advance peace and understanding, and Global
Giving's position serves as an example to people around the world that we can all use
our time, unique talent, and platform for a greater purpose.
The war in Ukraine remind us that our world may always be rocked by violence, and that we
must each do what we can to build a lasting peace based on understanding. For our part,
our Foundation works continuously to ensure that our projects remain an effective
instrument of developing society, education. We are among those who develop higher education — of the positive impact of our Foundation and the principle of peace through understanding. We must stand together nationwide and reach out to as many members of leadership of country as possible.
Now we reflectiing on the extreme challenges facing Ukraine and its supporters worldwide
in countering Russian violence, lawlessness, and alleged war crimes. We shouls be given
hope that Ukrainian resolve and resilience will remain steadfast until this war ends—and
well beyond.
The purpose of the program is to provide students with the skills and information to be successful.

Summary
Due to the ongoing full-scale war between Russia and Ukraine, many Ukrainian families
have found themselves in a difficult financial situation and cannot provide for their
children's education in higher educational institutions. Some donors agree to pay for the
education of students in universities in accordance with the scholarship programs created
by charitable foundations
Challenge
During the Russian-Ukrainian war many cities of Ukraine and many industries are
destroyed. There is a shortage of specialists with higher education in the rebirth from ruins, renewing of the country Ukraine.
Solution
The project will help partially to solve the problem of lack of finance resorses to
provide Ukraine with the specialists with higher for rebuildiing of country after the
war.
2023 is a year, both troubling and tragic: now our country is engulfed in the fire of war.
Cruise missiles, drones Shaheds, fired by the Russian military troops, have killed and
are now killing civilians, fall on the ukrainian peaceful homes destroying everything in
many Ukrainian cities and towns, forcing refugees to seek safe places in other regions
and countries.
To help students - children of the refugees our foundation provides activity in the educational directions: the organization of free tutoring, free practice for students, free internships for students of higher educational institutions in the specialty
"journalism", introduction of non-formal education in educational institutions, based on
human rights principles, holding cultural and integration events.
It is the activities of education that provide tools for change, solving local problems.
We are also communicating with the leadership at the local and national levels.
Our foundation has a newspaper, called "Ukrainian Youth" which provides free internships
for students of Ukrainian universities in the specialty "Journalism".
Internship is included in the process of studying students at universities, and the
organization of this internship, tuition, also requires funds.
We organize work on teaching students how to write journalistic articles, journalistic
work, receiving and processing journalistic materials. We are engaged in tutoring and as
a result, professional growth is noticed in students.
Our Foundation on the basis of the newspaper "Ukrainian Youth" conducts free official
practice of students in the specialty "Journalism".
Now our Foundation is engaged in filling the content of the Foundation's sites, media
sites, and the Foundation's sites in social networks.
Now we have registered new domen and are working designing new better site of our
Foundation.
The main thing is the material and financial provision of student's tutoring and
internships.
We were providing aid and support of the newspaper "Ukrainian Youth", which is the main
means of media of the Charitable Foundation "Democratic Society" in which tutoring and
training of students is providing.
Payment of rent, telephone, Internet, transport, electricity, firewood for heating the
office, rooms for the employees of the foundation, medicine for the treatment of
employees and those who need it.
Provision of the office with stationery and other supplies, gadgets for work, other
equipment, provision of printing materials, printing of certificates on student
internships, renovation of editorial office of newspaper "Ukrainian Youth".
Payment for food, representative expenses, working trips.
Provision of information and advertising services for finding students who need
internship.
In addition, funds were needed to complete repairing the office of our Foundation, which was fired upon by the Russian air raids.
We are expected that process of realisation of projects will be more intensive.
Also sufficient for work amounts of funds must be reserved for planned activities of
Charity Foundation "Democratic Society".
In our work we hope for help of donors.
Without the help of donors, we will not be able to carry out our statutory functions.
That's why in our work our charity organisation rely on the donations of those, who care.
Donations are needed to help students, to pay tutors, journalists for their educational work with students.
Charity Foundation "Democratic Society" 's work is being possible due to our generous
donors. Their gifts today helps us eliminate barriers so every student can pursue their
dreams.
Now we are currently working with companies and individuals to help them decide to donate
to our projects of helping refugees.
Now we have contacted potential donors, we are working with them, and
this gives a result.
We were doing all in our power for realisations of our project.
