Dear friends and supporters,
Across the busy streets of Mombasa, thousands of children and young people wake each morning with no safe place to call home. They navigate violence, exploitation, lack of education, and the daily struggle simply to survive. Many have been pushed onto the streets by poverty, abuse, neglect, or family breakdown. Others have fled situations no child should ever have to endure. Yet despite the enormity of their challenges, these young people are not the problem. They are the living, breathing evidence of deeper social injustices that society has failed to confront.
At Glad’s House Kenya, we refuse to look away. Since 2006, our team has walked beside the most marginalised and “hardtoreach” children and young people in Mombasa those whom others have labelled “too challenging”, “too difficult”, or “beyond help”. We see something very different. We see resilience. We see talent. We see entrepreneurial spirit. We see young people who have survived the unimaginable and who, with the right support, can thrive.
And today, we are asking youour friends, allies, and supporters to stand with them.
