2019 - a fantastic year for Glad's House Outreach

2019 was a fantastic year four our Outreach Team and we couldn't have done it without your support.
Thanks to your support we were able to work with 667 homeless children and young people during 2019. We worked with 150 girls and young women and 517 boys and young men.
Over the course of the year we delivered 147 Street Soccer sessions, 184 Mobile School and Street Education sessions and delivered 80 sessions to 69 girls and young women living on the streets. We treated 248 children and young people with First Aid and provded 10,868 hot meals! Pretty amazing stuff!
From all of us, THANK YOU! This year your support really has enabled us to do fantastic things with the children and young people we support.

Our Outreach Team keep on their wonderful work

Dear friends,
It has been another busy few months for the Glad's House Outreach Team as they continue to deliver vital services to homeless children and young people in Mombasa. The team conitnue to deliver Street Soccer, Street Education, Street Work and Mobile School.

Last month we have also introduced a new element to our Outreach Programme - Street Yoga! We want to create spaces for homeless children and young people to take care of themselves and have respite from the chaos of life on the streets and we really believe Yoga will have a hugely positive impact on out children and young people... As a huge advocate of Yoga myself I really belive that giving them the space and time to stop and breathe will be fantastic.
As always, thank you from all of us for your support and belief in the work we do. Our work is tough but knowing that so many people stand with us and our incredible child and young people makes the work so much easier.

Another fantastic few months for Glad's House!

Dear supporters,
Hello from all of us at Glad's House! Well, it's been a busy few months for Glad's House Outreach Team as we strengthen and develop our work supporting children and young people living on the streets of Mombasa.
Last month we were delighted to run our first business training with 26 young people living on the streets. We ran this training in partnership with the Kenya Youth Business Trust. These young people have now taken their first steps into setting up small businesses to support themselves finacially and make the first steps away from the streets! Pretty exciting stuff, hey? And we wouldn't have been able to do it without your generous donations! So, from all of us, thank you!
