Since the outbreak of COVID-19, your contributions have continued to provide families in many of India’s most impoverished slums and rural villages with food essential for their survival. Families of four to five are receiving a month’s worth of food for every $25 you give (up from $20 last year due to inflation.) In 2021, donations to SevaChild made possible the acquisition and distribution of a whole month’s worth of food to over 10,800 families. Over 43,000 men, women, and children were spared the pangs of hunger because of donations to SevaChild.
On behalf of all those families, we thank those of you who have given to this program and, since Indian fmilies are still reeling from the lockdowns and loss of employment, we would encourage you to give again.

Since our last report in August, your donation and those of others' have funded 8,000 one-month food packages for another 8,000 families who would have otherwise gone hungry. And there are still countless Indian families whose lives have been turned upside-down due to the pandemic needing our support.
The cost of providing an entire month's worth of food for a family of five had been $20.00; during the past three months, inflation has escalated the cost of food items by 25%, increasing this cost to a still-remarkably-low $25.00 per family of five for a full month. Think of the difference your $25.00 per month can make to a hungry Indian family unsure of where its next meal is coming from.
Please help us reach our goal of another 25 monthly donors before the end of the year. You can click on the orange 'GIVE NOW' button below to make a one-time donation, or to start your monthly contribution in any amount most comfortable for you.
In behalf of the over 32,000 men, women, and children nourished by your generosity during the past three months, we send heartfelt thanks.
Gratefully yours,
Since our last report in June and thanks to the generous support of GlobalGiving donors like you, we have delivered one month's food rations to another 2500 hungry families. These are families left without any means to earn money to buy food, as the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns have been especially devestating for families in many poverty-stricken areas of India. And there is still no end in sight.
It costs just $20 to feed a hungry family of five for a whole month. Think of the difference your $20 a month can make to a hungry Indian family not knowing where their next meal is coming from. Please help us reach our goal of recruiting another 25 monthly donors by the end of August.

Through your ongoing support and our network of humanitarian organizations in India, an additional 780 families have received one-month rations since our last update and another 1,600 families will receive one-month rations this month.
We have also successfully expanded our food ratios program to communities hit hard by the pandemic in the Indian states of Tamil Nadu, Orissa, Jharkhand, and Madhya Pradesh.
With Covid-19 infection rates rising again throughout India, we are committed to reaching many more hungry families. We have a goal of recruiting 25 more monthly donors who give $20 a month or more by June 30th.
It only costs $20 a month to feed a hungry family of five. Think of the difference your $20 a month can make to a hungry Indian family who may not know where their next meal is coming from.

As of December 16th, SevaChild has distributed packages of rations that last a family of 5 for 4-weeks to over 1300 families through the thoughtful donations of SevaChild donors like you.
The pandemic rages on in India as "the total Covid cases mounted to 97,96,769 All India: December 12, 2020”.
And the nationwide lockdown, one of the world’s strictest, continues to prevent millions of migrant and day workers from leaving their villages and going to work to earn money to buy food for their families. Starvation remains a real concern.
Please support our efforts to feed as many desperate families as possible by donating on our GlobalGiving page.
We are most grateful for your support.
