Since the inception of the COVID-19 pandemic, SevaChild International has supplied food rations to the most destitute of India's tribal populations in an effort to mitigate the significant challenge faced by the poorest of the poor: earning money to feed their families during nationwide lockdowns.
But since 2023, we have shifted our focus to the unfortunate victims of ever-increasing, climate change-precipitated natural disasters -- the brunt of which is felt by those dwelling in remote rural areas. In 2024, over 1,000 families have received food rations through SevaChild's distribution network thus far! One ration kit provides enough food to nourish an Indian family of four or five members for one month, and also includes non-comestible items such as soap and sanitary napkins.
As the need for outside intervention continues to be critical, SevaChild will maintain this vital project -- relief without which countless individuals would go hungry.
