By Padmini | Head Teacher
We’re truly grateful for your continued support of the school, a vital safe space for children with disabilities and mental challenges who often don’t find a place in regular government schools.
Under the compassionate leadership of Padmini, the head teacher, the school has been a hub of hope and growth. Over the past three months, there have been many heartwarming moments and encouraging milestones.
The children recently celebrated several special events, including cultural festivals and birthdays, which brought smiles and laughter all around. These gatherings aren’t just fun—they build confidence, foster social skills, and strengthen the community bonds that make the school feel like a second home.
One ongoing highlight is the weekly physiotherapy sessions we fund. The physiotherapist works closely with children who have mobility difficulties, using targeted exercises to improve their movement and overall health. We’ve seen remarkable progress—children are becoming stronger and more active, which uplifts their spirits and boosts their engagement in daily activities.
Educationally, Padmini and the dedicated teaching staff tailor learning to each child’s abilities, celebrating every small victory. From developing communication skills to learning basic life skills, the children make steady progress in a nurturing environment.
The school also shares regular updates on individual children’s development, showing how far they’ve come thanks to this holistic approach combining therapy, education, and love.
Looking forward, the school aims to deepen its support with more therapy sessions, improved learning resources, and expanded community activities that help the children flourish both inside and outside the classroom.
If you’ve been thinking about helping further, remember GlobalGiving’s Bonus Day on July 16–17. Donations of $100 or more during this 24-hour event receive matching funds, so your support can go even further.
Thank you for being part of this incredible journey, giving these children the chance to grow, learn, and thrive in a place they truly belong.
