Education is a fundamental right, and every child deserves the opportunity to attend school safely and regularly. By providing safe transport, we are giving these children a stable and consistent pathway to education. We are removing a critical barrier to their success and empowering them to build brighter futures. 80 children at Takalani Children's Home will have safe, consistent, and reliable transport to and from school .Improved academic performance as children will no longer be burdened.
Talakani Children's Home in Siloam Village, Nzhelele, Limpopo cares for 80 children who have come from abusive, neglected or orphaned situations. The home provides them with safety, care, and protection but faces a major challenge: there is no reliable and safe transport. The children attend different schools and must rely on costly, unsafe public transport, making it difficult to ensure regular, secure, and stress-free access to education, especially for those under protection.
This project will provide Takalani Children's Home with a safe, reliable minibus, directly tackling the daily transport challenges faced by 80 children. With secure school transport, the children will have consistent access to education, reduced stress and safety risks, and greater stability. At the same time, the home will save on costly public transport and be able to direct more resources into the children's care and well-being.
In the long term, this project will create a lasting impact not only for the 80 children at Takalani Children's Home, but also for their families and community. Reliable school transport means improved education, safety, and health; leading to stronger academic outcomes and emotional well-being. By removing a critical barrier, this project empowers children to pursue brighter futures and grow into a new generation of confident, capable leaders.
