Since our last update, we have continued to provide essential support to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Minova—thanks to the tireless efforts of our dedicated clinic and waterpoint staff, and the steadfast generosity of our community of supporters.
Over the past year, our healthcare team in Minova has shown exceptional commitment, delivering critical services to those in need. They have facilitated more than 900 hospitalizations, conducted approximately 3,900 outpatient consultations, and supported 260 pre- and post-natal visits, resulting in nearly 40 safe deliveries.
Access to clean water has also remained a cornerstone of our response. Between January and June alone, we distributed over 11.1 million liters of safe drinking water. Since launching our efforts last June, more than 30 million liters have reached IDPs and local residents—an impact we could not have made without your support.
Today, we are seeing a reduction in the number of IDPs in Minova. The camps have been dismantled, and many displaced families have been ordered by local authorities to return home. Yet for some, home remains unreachable—either due to ongoing insecurity or the complete destruction of their property. These families continue to seek shelter with host communities, and we remain committed to walking alongside them during this period of uncertainty.
Thank you for standing with us and making this work possible. Your continued support is not only sustaining lives—it’s restoring dignity and hope for a community on the path to recovery.
