Dear Supporter,
Today, we are honored to share a beautiful story of survival made possible by your generosity.
Baby Malak was born with a serious bleeding disorder that threatened her life from her very first days. The bleeding continued, and bruises began to appear across her tiny body, placing her at risk of severe complications.
At one of SEMA’s hospitals in northern Syria, our medical team immediately began close monitoring and urgent treatment. Malak received vitamin K to support blood clotting, intravenous fluids, platelet transfusions, and continuous medical care to control the bleeding and protect her fragile life.
For 20 long days, she remained in an incubator under careful observation.
Day by day, her condition began to stabilize.
She started gaining weight, grew stronger, and finally reached more than 3 kilograms.
Then came the moment her family had been waiting for: baby Malak was discharged in good health and taken home for the very first time.
This moment belongs to you.
Your donations helped provide the treatment, equipment, medications, blood products, and specialized care that gave Malak a chance to survive and recover.
Because of your support, one more newborn was given life, one more family was given hope, and one more hospital became a place of healing rather than loss.
From Malak’s family and all of us at SEMA, thank you for standing with vulnerable children in northern Syria.
Your generosity does not simply support medical care.
It brings babies home.
With deepest gratitude,
