Dear Supporter,
At only two days old, Baby Ahmed was already fighting for his future.
He arrived at one of SEMA’s hospitals in northern Syria suffering from severe jaundice. His condition required immediate treatment, as dangerously high bilirubin levels can lead to serious and permanent complications if left untreated.
Our medical team admitted Ahmed to intensive care without delay and began providing phototherapy, medication, and continuous monitoring.
Thanks to your generous support, the care he urgently needed was available at the right moment.
Over the following days, Ahmed responded well to treatment. His condition improved significantly, and the threat to his health began to fade.
Dear Supporter, your contribution helped protect this newborn from potentially life-altering complications. You gave his family reassurance in a moment of fear and gave Ahmed the chance to begin his life with renewed hope.
Across northern Syria, many newborns continue to face serious conditions during their first fragile days. Their families often cannot afford specialized treatment, while every delay can place a child’s life and future at risk.
Thank you for standing beside Baby Ahmed and other vulnerable newborns. Your continued support helps our medical teams act quickly, provide critical care, and protect children when they are most fragile.
Together, we are giving newborns more than treatment—we are giving them the chance to grow, thrive, and look toward a brighter future.
