As part of our Audience Project, Arts for All will present a professional children's show, "Jack vs. Rapunzel: The Musical" FREE OF CHARGE to 1,000 in-need children in the greater New York area.
Arts for All serves in-need children who have little means or opportunity to explore the arts due to economic disadvantages, physical and mental disabilities, hospitalization, socialization issues, emotional trauma, or any other life challenge. This project will provide children with the opportunity to see a professional live show, free of charge. If enough funds are raised, we will also send children free drama workshops prior to the performance
Arts for All will perform an estimated 10 live performances of "Jack vs Rapunzel: The Musical" during the 2016-17 school year. At each performance we anticipate up to 100 children. Youth will be given "study guides" to introduce the show and its themes prior to the performance.
We hope to open children's eyes to artistic skills they may not realize they have, to possible artistic careers, and/or to positive alternatives for releasing energy and creativity. Youth build self-confidence, self-expression, teamwork, resilience, and creativity.
