A Safe Place to Stay: Welcoming Displaced Families

By Evan Raftes | Project Leader

Over the past weeks, families continue to arrive at our refugee center in Lviv after being forced to flee their homes due to ongoing attacks.

Many arrive with very little—just a small bag, important documents, and their children. Some have traveled for days, not knowing where they would sleep or how they would find safety.

Recently, we welcomed a mother and her two children who had been living without stable shelter after their home was damaged. When they arrived, the children were exhausted and overwhelmed. Within hours, they had a warm place to sleep, a meal, and a sense of calm that had been missing for weeks.

This is what your support makes possible.

Through this project, we continue to provide:

  • Safe shelter for displaced families
  • Daily meals and essential supplies
  • Clothing and hygiene items
  • A stable environment where families can rest and begin to recover

To date, we have helped shelter over 1,300 people, and families continue to arrive as the situation remains unstable.

Every donation helps ensure that when a family arrives, we can say “yes, we have a place for you.”

We are deeply grateful for your support and for being part of this work.
