Dear donor;
9 in 10 women in southern Bangladesh give birth at home, without any access to trained medical help. If something goes wrong during labor, a woman is at critical risk for developing a serious injury, or death.
Injuries like these are preventable, but the health situation in Bangladesh is dire, with a ratio of only 3 doctors and 1 nurse available for every 10,000 people. Compounding this problem, 1 in 4 Bangladeshis live below the poverty line, and 70 percent of this population resides in rural areas. Many cannot afford health care, let alone transportation to reach it.
HOPE mission is to provide essential, life-saving care to the community of Cox’s Bazar, through HOPE Hospital and our satellite clinics and facilities throughout the region. While we provide care to anyone in need, we focus primarily on the most vulnerable: poor women and children.
Safe Pregnancy Care
In fulfilling its mission of having a healthy community, HOPE focuses its attention on providing women and children the necessary routine and preventative care for a safe delivery and post delivery. HOPE believes that healthy mothers deliver healthy babies.
We provide antenatal care, deliveries for at-risk patients, including emergency C-sections, and post-natal care (PNC) every year for 1,500 women.
Funding allows us to provide these important services, FREE of costs.
Thank you for making our work possible
Dear friend,
Thank you for your support in providing safe delivery for rural mothers living in remote areas in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.
We are excited to announce that due the a success of this project we are able to increase the amount of pregnant women who receive antenatal care, safe delivery with skilled proffesionals and post natal care than expected.
The midwives that we support to deliver this quality of maternal health care are fully trained and key in educating the community about the importance of pregnancy care.
For the women living without access to proper medical care; receiving education on safe delivery and care for themselves and their newborns, can save their lives.
So, one more time, thak you for helping us to achieve our goal in reducing the maternal mortality and morbidity rate in Bangladesh.
We will keep you posted!
Dear HOPE Friend,
Without your support, expecting mothers would not have been able to give birth in a safe environment with the ability to address any complications.
Your generosity has helped many women to receive quality healthcare by qualified HOPE midwives, who are passionate about maternal care.
Being able to guide an expecting mother through the entire process of her pregnancy and delivery and knowing how competent our health care workers are, remind us of how meaningful our work is.
We are truly grateful that you have been able to help us along the way and be part of the team.
Thank you again for beliving in our work.
