Provide SAFE Delivery for Rural Mothers

Dear HOPE Friend,

Without your support, expecting mothers would not have been able to give birth in a safe environment with the ability to address any complications and save the mother and newborn from danger.

Your generosity has helped many women to receive quality healthcare by qualified HOPE midwives, who are passionate about maternal care and now fighting at the forefront of the global pandemic.

We keep facing a challenging situation with the consequences of the current pandemic.

COVID-19 is even more dangerous to the people living in underdeveloped countries as they don't have the resources to fight back. Therefore, we are utilizing all our resources to ensure that our patients as well as HOPE staff are keeping safe.

All the midwives in HOPE facilities, and the entire team, is provided with extra Personal Protective Equipment and also extra trained in Infectious Diseases Control to minimize the spread of any virus. We also open areas to treat specific COVID-19 patients separately.

We are strong, doing everything we can to take care of the people in need of essential/lifesaving medical care. We are very thankful for your support to make this type of activities possible.

We are truly grateful that you have been able to help us along the way and be part of the team.

Thank you again for believing in our work.

Best regards,

Dear friend,

We all are facing a challenging situation with the consequences of COVID-19. This virus is even more dangerous to the people living in underdeveloped countries as they dont have the resources to fight back.

We are utilizing all our resources to ensure that our patients, as well as, HOPE staff are kepping safe. Currently we are opening areas to treat COVID-19 patients separatly and minimize the risk of spreading the virus.

We are working on health education. This is key to spread the word between the community about what COVID-19 is, to learn about the importance of hand wasing and social distancing. We are having special arrangements on place to do so, such as, strong sanitation of the area, mandatory mask and globes for the participants and minimum distance (6 feet) between the antedees.

We are strong, doing everything we can to take care of the people in need of essential/lifesaving medical care.

We are very thankful for your support to make this type of activities possible.

Please keep us in your prayers. We will do the same.

Together we are stronger!

Dear friend,

Obstructed labor is a direct cause of Bangladesh's high maternal and neonatal mortality rates.

In rural areas, over 90% of women give birth at home, at the hands of untrained birth attendants. HOPE aims to give women with high risk pregnancies, safe deliveries to save their and their children's lives.

When expectant mothers do not receive antenatal care, high-risk pregnancies – those at risk for obstructed labor, eclampsia, hypertension or other life-threatening pregnancy conditions – go unidentified, and there is no plan for emergency obstetric care.

When high-risk women deliver at home without a skilled birth attendant (SBA), they are at risk for post-partum hemorrhage (PPH), sepsis, obstructed labor, and obstetric fistula, all of which can result in the death of the baby or the mother.

With your support we wont let it happen.

Thank you for reading.

Sincerly,

Dear donor;

9 in 10 women in southern Bangladesh give birth at home, without any access to trained medical help. If something goes wrong during labor, a woman is at critical risk for developing a serious injury, or death.

Injuries like these are preventable, but the health situation in Bangladesh is dire, with a ratio of only 3 doctors and 1 nurse available for every 10,000 people. Compounding this problem, 1 in 4 Bangladeshis live below the poverty line, and 70 percent of this population resides in rural areas. Many cannot afford health care, let alone transportation to reach it.

HOPE mission is to provide essential, life-saving care to the community of Cox’s Bazar, through HOPE Hospital and our satellite clinics and facilities throughout the region. While we provide care to anyone in need, we focus primarily on the most vulnerable: poor women and children.

Safe Pregnancy Care

In fulfilling its mission of having a healthy community, HOPE focuses its attention on providing women and children the necessary routine and preventative care for a safe delivery and post delivery.  HOPE believes that healthy mothers deliver healthy babies.

We provide antenatal care, deliveries for at-risk patients, including emergency  C-sections, and post-natal care (PNC) every year for 1,500 women.

Funding allows us to provide these important services, FREE of costs.

Thank you for making our work possible

Dear friend,

Thank you for your support in providing safe delivery for rural mothers living in remote areas in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.

We are excited to announce that due the a success of this project we are able to increase the amount of pregnant women who receive antenatal care, safe delivery with skilled proffesionals and post natal care than expected.

The midwives that we support to deliver this quality of  maternal health care are fully trained and key in educating the community about the importance of pregnancy care.

For the women living without access to proper medical care; receiving education on safe delivery and care for themselves and their newborns, can save their lives.

So, one more time, thak you for helping us to achieve our goal in reducing the maternal mortality and morbidity rate in Bangladesh.

We will keep you posted!
