Venda’s Inspiring Journey From a Small Indonesian Village to a Promising Banking Career

Venda, a young girl born in a small village outside of Kupang, NTT, has overcome numerous challenges to achieve remarkable things. Venda came to YCAB Foundation upon learning about our learning centers through word of mouth from her neighbor. After a 3-year enrollment in our equivalency program, Venda's unwavering dedication to her studies and impressive academic achievements earned her a scholarship to complete her high school education at the Global Sevilla International School.

Following her graduation, Venda seized an opportunity to participate in an internship program at YCAB as an Alumni Tracking and Job Placement intern. However, her ambitions didn't stop there. When she learned about a prestigious internship program by a well-known Indonesian bank, she knew she had to take advantage of the opportunity. Competing against numerous candidates, Venda emerged as one of the 22 participants in this highly competitive program—an outstanding accomplishment.

During her internship, Venda gained valuable knowledge and insights into how this particular bank collaborates with social organizations to benefit society. Her exceptional performance and strong work ethic earned her praise and recognition from both her peers and superiors. In fact, she was offered a permanent position with a salary that exceeded expectations.
