With your contribution. we have been able to gift our visually challenged students with new clothes, fire crackers and sweets during the Diwali festival. Our students were really happy as it was a great opportunity for them to celebrate Diwali just like any other sighted person .
The congregations from global giving for this project had made us to make dream come true for them as such things have always appeared to be a distant dream to them which has now been fulfilled,. lndian Association for the Blind (lAB),based in Madurai, South India, is a renowned non-profit organization working with the visually challenged youths from rural backgrounds. We aim to make them self-reliant by providing good quality education, employment, training and rehabilitation facilities. It was established in 1985 by visually challenged activist Late Mr. S.M.A.Jinnah and a group of like-minded visually challenged people with the aim of making the visually challenged productive members of society.
We are glad that through this project we have raised donations worth $296. This sum helps us distribute new clothes and fire crackers to our visually challenged children. They gain the opportunity to celebrate Diwali just like any other individual. It is really a dream come true for them because they are all from rural backgrounds and each day is a struggle for them.
We are eager to raise more for this cause. As always, we, along with GlobalGiving, will do our best in reaching out to generous donors across the Globe and will strive to bring happiness on the face of each of our beneficiaries.
