Walking through our factory in Providence, Rhode Island this morning, I stopped to take a photo of where the Plumpy'nut continues to come off the line and get packed into the red and white boxes. The sound the machines make - like a steady drum beat - feels hopeful to me - especially considering the tremendous ongoing crisis in the Horn of Africa. It may be an automated machine, but its purpose is driven by human action.
Last week our project to Provide Lifesaving Plumpy'nut in the Horn of Africa achieved its goal of $200,000 and is tipping over that amount a little more each day. This is truly incredible. We will now be able to reach thousands more children around the world with the Plumpy'nut we make.
Thank you. Together we are giving more and more children the gift of life in the Horn of Africa. And we could not be more grateful for your efforts to help make this happen.
