YouthHubAfrica has equipped ICT laboratories in two schools, Government Secondary School, Ilorin (Kwara State) and Perfect Memorial School, Mwari (Bauchi State) benefiting over 2,700 students from low-income backgrounds. Each lab is fitted with 31 computers, UPS systems, a projector, and other accessories, laying the foundation for improved ICT-based teaching and learning.
The next critical phase is to provide reliable internet access so that students and teachers can fully leverage digital tools for education. To date, the project has raised approximately $9 USD, which falls far short of the funding required. Despite ongoing efforts, financial support has been limited.
In response, the project team is working closely with the Communications Department to reassess the marketing and fundraising strategy. This includes understanding the low donor engagement, exploring new fundraising avenues, and building partnerships with stakeholders who share the vision of digital inclusion.
We still urgently need support to reach our goal and ensure these learners can participate in the digital revolution. Your contribution can help bridge the digital divide and open new opportunities for their future.
