Help Rescue 500 Battered Women And Their Children

When Lina reached out to Pathways from Turkey, she and her young daughter, Arya, had endured months of domestic violence and child abuse from Arya's father. Far from home and isolated from family and support networks, she feared that they would never be able to escape the cycle of violence. Each day brought new uncertainty, and the safety and wellbeing of both mother and child hung in the balance.

Working closely with Lina, we developed a safety plan to help them escape the violence and navigate the many obstacles involved in returning home to safety. 

Leaving was not easy and Lina felt making such a journey would be overwhelming. Yet, with compassionate assistance and practical support, we were able to help get Lina and Arya back to the USA.

Today, they are no longer living in fear. Instead of wondering what the next crisis will bring, Lina can focus on helping Arya heal and grow in a safe and nurturing environment. They are rebuilding their lives with hope, stability, and the knowledge that there are people who cared enough to help when they needed it most.
