This past summer we received a desperate email from Victoria. She and her daughter Aurora were being abused in Venezuela by her husband.
And it wasn't just physical and emotional abuse. From the way Aurora would hide and tuck herself into Victoria for safety, and some of the things Aurora said, Victoria suspected he was sexually molesting Aurora.
Victoria had no idea where to even start to be able to escape Venezuela. We worked with Victoria on an escape plan, technology safety, collecting evidence of abuse, obtaining critical personal documents and more.
After two months, the plan was put into motion and Victoria was able to escape back to the USA with Aurora.
This litte family is now safe in the USA with Victoria's parents because of donations like yours that enable Pathways to provide critical support to American victims of abuse abroad. Aurora is enjoying making cookies with her grandmother!
Thank you from Victoria, Aurora and the Pathway's Team
