When Patricia emailed our crisis advocate she didnt think she would ever make it home back to the USA alive.
Her husband had become so controlling and violent she felt she was walking on eggshells every minute of the day. Her son Solomon was afraid of his father. But children develop different coping mechnisms and Solomon began emulating his father's anger outbursts.
Our crisis email advocate was able to offer Patricia guidance, emotional support, explain different options that were available to her and connected her with a domestic violence shelter in the USA she and Solomon could go to once she was able to escape and get back home.
Patricia recently reached out again via email. She and Solomon are safe and living in shelter because of you!
