Stephanie emailed the crisis email for Pathways from Switzerland. She had suffered from the abuse of her husband for a long time. He always apologized after becoming violent so she kept hoping he would change.
He was yelling and screaming at Benjamin one night and slapped him. Stephanie has had enough and needed to get home.
Stephanie faced many obstacles but covid travel restrictions made safety planning for her escape back home very challenging.
One of our advocates worked with Stephanie for several weeks mapping out steps for their safety.
Finally, Stephanie arrived back to the USA with Benjamin. They are safe and Stephanie is so grateful to be away from the violence.
Without donors like you such intensive safety planning enabling victims to return home to safety would not be possible.
