Project Report: Supporting a New Mother and Her Baby with Essential Care and Financial Assistance in Lugbe Fageli Good Health Advocacy & Lifestyle Foundation carried out a support visit to one of our members who recently gave birth and is currently staying at Soka, Airport Road, Lugbe, Abuja. The visit was organized as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting women and promoting the health and well-being of mothers and children in our community. We believe that the period immediately following childbirth can be challenging for mothers, particularly when they are caring for a newborn and managing the additional financial and material needs that come with motherhood. During the visit, the Foundation provided the new mother with financial assistance, baby diapers, and other essential baby items. These items were provided to help reduce some of the immediate financial pressure on the family and support the basic needs of the newborn. Beyond the material assistance, the visit was also an opportunity to show care, encouragement, and solidarity to the mother as she begins this new chapter of motherhood. Our team spent time with her, offered words of encouragement, and celebrated with her and her family. The mother expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the support. She was grateful that the Foundation remembered her and stood by her during this important period in her life. Impact of the Outreach The support provided practical assistance to a new mother and helped meet some of the immediate needs of her newborn. More importantly, the visit demonstrated that community support goes beyond providing material items—it also gives mothers a sense of belonging, encouragement, and hope. Through initiatives like this, Fageli Good Health Advocacy & Lifestyle Foundation continues to promote a culture of caring for women and children, strengthening families, and ensuring that mothers receive support when they need it most. We are grateful to everyone whose support makes these acts of kindness possible. We remain committed to reaching and supporting more vulnerable women, mothers, and children in our community.
