At Manakamana Bridhashram, an Old Age Home located in Khandbari, Sankhuwasabha of Eastern Nepal, there are 35 helpless elderly individuals living. These individuals rely on a limited amount of charity donations from visitors to the nearby temple in order to fulfill their basic needs. To support them, the SESF has initiated an online fundraising project. This project aims to provide them with food supplies, as well as a monthly allowance for clothing, fruits, vegetables, and other necessities.
At Manakamana Age Home, the 35 elderly individuals ranging in age from 55 to 91 years old are heavily dependent on the charity donations provided by pilgrims who visit the nearby temple. These donations are crucial in enabling the elderly residents to obtain their daily necessities, such as food. However, due to the low number of visitors to the temple, it becomes difficult for the residents to collect enough food to sustain themselves . So go without food sometimes.
To address the needs of the elderly residents at Manakamana Age Home, this project aims to raise funds online from a variety of sources, including friends, relatives, charity organizations, and customers of our social trekking company. The funds will be used to distribute 10 kg of rice, vegetables, and other necessary food materials, as well as USD 10.00 per person per month to each of the 35 residents.
Through this project, 35 elderly individuals residing at Manakamana Old Age Home in Khandbari, Sankhuwasabha, will have their basic needs fulfilled. They will have access to sufficient food and vegetables, clothing, and medicine in case of illness, enabling them to comfortably live out their final stage of life. They will no longer have to endure hunger, lack of clothing, or inadequate medical care, which would otherwise result in needless suffering and possibly even premature death.
