First Peoples Worldwide is working with our local contacts to deliver relief items to resettled San communities in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve in Botswana. We are currently working to transition the model for short term relief to San communities into a longer-term more sustainable model. By linking our delivery partner and a local San-led NGO, we are hoping that a sustainable partnership can develop between the two entities and the San communities they serve. We are providing technical assistance to the NGO to increase the sustainability of the project by directly involving more community members. In order to make lasting changes we will need to come together with our partners in Botswana for discussion with the government and we are working toward making this happen.
