Oscar the Cocker Spaniel

Today we would like for you to meet Oscar, the male Cocker Spaniel. He was being given away for free on Facebook by a backyard breeder who no longer had any use for him. Fearful of what kind of future lay ahead for Oscar, we took him into our care at East Mississippi Animal Rescue.

He was in horrible shape after not being properly cared for. His ears and eyes were both badly infected. His teeth were so rotten in places that he had to have 9 of them removed. Your donations allowed us to treat his infections, clean his teeth, have him neutered, and also get him up to date with vaccinations. It was such a relief to find out he tested negative for heartworms! We even gave him a good bath and groom to help him feel much better.

Now, thanks to your help, Oscar is doing good. We think he may have some issues with his hearing. We are going back to the vet this week for a recheck on his eyes. If all goes well we hope to find a forever home for Oscar to have the best of what life has to offer.
