Greetings from the team here at East Mississippi Animal Rescue! We hope you and your loved ones are doing well.
Today, we'd like to let you know how your donations help provide services for those animals in our care for extended periods of time. Currently in our care, we have 6 dogs requiring special types of placement - such as homes with no other dogs or cats. It can take a little longer to find an animal's forever home in these type of situations. These animals continue to require daily care, including routine medications, food, hygienic care, and more. For example, we have recently begun to administer ProHeart injections to our long-term animals to prevent heartworm disease. Your donations help fund the costs associated with these injections.
Pictured in this email is Jeffrey. He is currently up for adoption but requires a special home. His owner passed away and he is scared of most new people and other animals. We will continue to work with him regarding socialization and ensure he receives the best care possible while awaiting his forever home.
