The world of animal rescue never stops and rarely seems to slow down. Each and every day we are faced with a new challenge or a new animal in need of our help.
Recently, we were introduced to Ruffles. Her story is one of the saddest ones we've seen lately. At just 12 weeks old, Ruffles was placed into a trash dumpster in the parking lot of an auto parts store and left to die in the Mississippi heat. An employee of the store was taking out the trash and happened to find Ruffles in the dumpster. If not for this guardian angel, Ruffles' story may have had a different outcome.
Ruffles is now in our care and has been seen by a veterinarian. She has received standard veterinary care as well as treatment for her condition. Ruffles has been diagnosed with demodectic mange, which is treatable, but has a slow recovery. Ruffles is doing much better since we first took her into our care and her fur is starting to grow back! She even has a potential adopter hoping to bring her home soon!
Without your support, we would not be able to help animals like Ruffles. Your donations help supply our organization with food, medication, and other daily supplies. Your donations help to fund spay and neuter surgeries, preventive treatments, and other procedures. The animals we are able to help would not make it far on the road to recovery without YOU, and we thank you tremendously for continuing to provide for our mission.
