Hello and thank you for continuing to support our rescue mission here at East Mississippi Animal Rescue! Our project reports typically focus on a highlight story about a specific animal or group of animals your funds have helped save. Today, we want to shine some light on the basic, everyday expenses we run into in the rescue world.
Your donations through GlobalGiving help us purchase special medications such as heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. These medications help keep the animals in our care safe and protected from several diseases and illnesses. Just in the last year, we've treated approximately 10 separate cases of heartworm disease in animals taken into our shelter. By ensuring animals in our care are placed on the necessary medications, we can prevent the suffering associated with this awful disease. We also use your donations to purchase much-needed vaccinations for animals. These vaccines help us prevent illnesses such as parvovirus, which can be fatal.
All of these medications and vaccines can be costly. Your donations help to make sure we can meet the basic needs of animals in our care while ensuring longterm health, as well.
Pictured in this report are a few of the animals who have benefitted from your generosity. We thank you again, tremendously, for your unwavering support!
