With today's update, we tell you the story of Clarke. Continue on to read about (and see) his amazing transformation!
Recently, we were contacted about a dog in need of lots of help. He was found in a rural county with no local animal control or rescue organization. No one claimed him as their own. He had been abandoned and neglected significantly. We agreed to take him into our care to get him the help he so desperately needed.
Clarke came to us as a big, matted ball of fur. Although he was in such poor condition, he had the best personality and seemed to be happy that someone was willing to give him some love and attention.
The first thing Clarke needed was a good hair cut. He was taken to the veterinarian where he was groomed and vetted. He also received a dental cleaning. Clarke immediately looked and felt like a new dog! Unfortunately, he tested positive for heartworms, but with the support of donors like you, we were able to get him the treatment he needed. Clarke will revisit the vet again in six months to make sure he is 100% heartworm free!
