We get closer to our goal with every step you help us take.

By Mauricio Canto | Social Investment Officer

Since its foundation, APAC, I.A.P.Association in Favor of People with Cerebral Palsy, has been dedicated to providing specialized services to people with this life condition and other related disabilities, as well as their families, in Mexico City.

Through 53 years of history, the experience gained has led us to discover that timely care can make a truly difference in the lives of many children. Our specialists team developed a Detection and Early Intervention program to focus on helping children aged 0-6 with risk factors and warning signs of developing a disability due to birth condition. For this reason since 2007 Early Intervention program has been our priority. Over these 16 years, program has proven to be particularly successful in educational and social inclusion of our beneficiaries.

Thanks to your valuable support, 100 beneficiaries will continue to receive more than 80 different services from specialists in their field.

  • Physical therapy
  • Speech therapy
  • Hydrotherapy
  • Massage therapy
  • Psychological therapy
  • Basic Medical services
  • Dental consultations
  • Psychological counselling for family members

In the last year, of these 100 beneficiaries served in the program:

  • 85% have improved their motor development.
  • 92% have improved their language, cognitive, social and educational skills.
  • 80% have reduced the sequelae in cases with permanent damage.
  • 99% have reached an optimal level of well-being.

Please consider your continued assistance in serving this vulnerable population who come from working-poor families. Your support is crucial in changing their life expectancy, in changing their life scenary.
