Early Intervention in Mexico: You make it possible

By Dulce Paloma Baltazar Pedraza | International Projects Director

We would like to thank you for your support of APAC, I.A.P. The Association in Favor of People With Cerebral Palsy, a nonprofit organization which aims to help a highly vulnerable segment of the world’s population.

Thanks to you, we were able to:

  1. Pay for one day of specialized services for 5 children with high neurological risk of triggering a disability
  2. Provide 4 counseling sessions for the primary caretaker of 5 children enrolled in the program
  3. Provide a hydrotherapy session for 10 children

As you can see, your support has truly made a difference in the lives of many children aged 0-6 with risk factors of developing a disability.

On them is Fernando. Admitted to the program at 2 years old with a diagnosis of cerebral palsy and very little chance of communicating verbally and regaining movement in extremities, just 3 years later he is thriving at school, is able to read and write, and can take a few steps while assisted.

Once again, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your generosity and commitment to people with disabilities in Mexico make all the difference.
