Have you ever thought of the affect that one small decision in your life makes? What if that decision impacts the life of another – immediately, positively, and in the long run?
That’s the value of investing in the rescue and restoration of abandoned infants: every rescued child has the opportunity to make an impact on the world that would have been lost without them. That is the impact that you can have by supporting New Life Home Trust in our effort to keep each of these rescued infants healthy and thriving in our Nairobi home.
Baby Raxton, pictured above, was discovered abandoned under a bush by a group of drunken men who had the sense to bring him to a local hospital. After receiving an initial checkup, Raxton was transferred to a New Life home where our staff was able to administer further care; he arrived with small water blisters covering his body and needing follow-up treatment. Because New Life is a registered Medical Care Centre, we are able to offer these little ones quality care with clean water, warmth, and the safety of home the moment they arrive.
In our 22+ years of work in Kenya, we’ve had the privilege of rescuing nearly 2,000 infants and watching life flourish. With your support, we are able to have immediate, local, and long-term impact in these communities and in adoptive families around the world. By investing in our current water project, you help supply a steady and safe water supply for the 50+ infants currently in our care and for the next generation of rescued infants.
Despite the effects of extreme poverty, HIV, and political tensions occurring worldwide, the world is also constantly giving birth to new life. We have the opportunity to rescue goodness, to rescue that life, and to be a light shining in the darkness. As Helen Keller said: “Although the world is full of suffering, it is full also of the overcoming of it.” Will you join us in overcoming adversity by giving to our clean water project?
