December 2022 Hogar San Jose Report

Holiday in La Cumbre
Holiday in La Cumbre

Hello Friends of the Hogar San José,

Our school year is coming to an end (school starts beginning of March and ends mid December). Without Covid restrictions, having the girls back in the classroom and in close contact with teachers and friends has made a big difference.

We are in the process of organizing the summer holidays, which is a very difficult time for our girls since they have lots of time on their hands, volunteers usually take off on holidays and the girls feel lonely staying behind at the home.

We are currently raising funds to be able to take them for 5 days to la Cumbre, Cordoba, where we have been offered inexpensive lodgings, same place we went last hear. We had an incredible time (see pictures) We do have to cover transportation, food, and we also have to fix the swimming pool at the hogar, and pay for the replacement of the girls care takers who also leave on holiday. We are doing a raffle in Argentina, and so far we have covered 50% of the needs. So any help is much appreciated!

Jazmin, one of our girls, is delighted she can take piano lessons, and is becoming quite a musician!!

Thank you for your ongoing help!
