Distributing Warm Blanket to Most needy Senior Citizen fight against winter

In this year there is severe coldness in the winter season and a lot of challenged people with no proper housing and clothing and old age are being badly effected . Poor people are mostly engaged in labour work and they work without proper clothing and shelter and hence easily engulfed by coldness . Further, poor old age persons are the neglected section in the community and family and they don’t get proper clothing and housing facilities and hence face challenge in the cold seasons. In this situation there are death cases also in the state .

In this circumstances the organization staffs visited Islampur blocks of Nalanda districts, Bihar (India) and identified most vulnerable persons , who are facing lack of clothing in the severe winter seasons and who don’t have any support and source of getting warm clothing . For the purpose the Organization staffs also conducted community meeting.

With the support of The Global Giving foundation, Donor and Sugam Jagriti have distributed  138 Blankets among most needy widow, Disable, & senior citizens.

A warm Balnket for a Most Needy Old Age Person

In previous year we have supported old age poor persons with focus on old age women by distributing blanket. It is due to they were unable to live a healthy life in winter without blanket support. It save their life and also saved them with cold diseases. They were not able to bear the cost of warm clothing as they were also neglected by family as well as community. They didn’t had safe shelter which can save them from winter. They were earning their day to day bread through daily labour ,it was also concern to winter. If not provided blanket they were even not able to get two square meal in a day . In such tough condition the organization staffs visited Islampur blocks of Nalanda districts, Bihar (India) and identified most vulnerable old aged persons , who are facing lack of clothing in the severe winter seasons and who don’t have any support and source of getting warm clothing . In such condition the organization staffs conducted village meeting involving community head, CBO leaders, PRI members in deciding beneficiaries in participatory way. Mostly old age women members , poor old age persons were selected as potential beneficiaries who don’t have warm clothing support and a hope for the same. The beneficiaries were totally unable to purchase the warm clothes in any condition . Hence organization provided blanket to most needy beneficiaries. After getting blanket they were happy and show ray of hope for saving lives in serious coldness. After getting blanket their health status was healthy and if some coldness they became cure . They expressed heartiest thanks to the Donor, SUGAM JAGRITI and The Global Giving Foundation for blanket support . They expressed that without blanket support they were not able to lead a successful life.
