Provide Backpacks to Children Affected by Disaster

In a time of so much uncertainty, our children need a sense of normalcy with something in which they are most familiar. For the ages of 5 and up that place is school, even for the home-schooled children, they to are involved in the daily educational world of studies. Both the schooled and home-schoolded which have been affected by disaster have in most cases lost their supplies and are in need of these supplies in order to get back to an environment in which they are comfortable. School without disaster is a place of shared friends, hopes, and dreams, add a disaster and it is a childs second home and family.

Do Your Part is indebted to each of it's donors, and are thankful for each of you. Because of gratefulness to all of our donors we would like to share a history of why we can make the statement above. The above may sound like a sales pitch from an adult who is just trying to market a product, but it's not. In the 11 years of doing these disasters, we have asked and repeatedly got the same answers from children all over the world. They want to get back to school, they would love a back pack, but supplies would do. We have added something special when we can and that is a letter from children not affected by disaster reaching out to those who have been affected. The result of those letters is amazing, it not only brings the children in both areas closer, but it touches their hearts and gives brings those not affected closer to the reality of what is going on in the rest of the country and world. It is a wonderful feeling to connect our future children and bring another element to their lives.
