This project is two fold as it brings children together. Children's groups that we work with get to help other children by filling the backpacks and writing a letter to the child that will receive the backpack. I allows children to become humanitarians and reach out to help others; it lets the receiver know that their is someone out there thinking of them.
This is one of my favorite projects, to see the faces of these children as they receive this small gift that is just for them. This project needs your help in order to obtain the backpacks and supplies, even though we get things at a discount there is still a cost.
Each backpack contains age appropriate items of coloring books, crayons, books, paper, pencils, a small stuffed animal, and so much more. A letter is usually included from one of the children and young adults helping to fill these backpacks.
The children in all areas of the country and world, of all ages, need your help, we ask you to reach out and help these young people with this small gift of kindness, that will ultimately touch your heart.
