The clinic needs an all-terrain vehicle for our monthly trips to mountainous regions in Bali to deliver outreach medical services and food donations. Currently, we rent small pickup trucks but they can't handle steep grades and dirt tracks. Our staff often has to walk the last mile carrying supplies and equipment. With our own vehicle, Bumi Sehat could save on rental costs and also rent to other NGOs, covering operating and repair expenses.
The cost of renting a truck each month is also starting to add up.
Our clinic would have an all-terrain vehicle for our monthly outreach trips and also be able to lend or rent the vehicle to other NGOS who also face the same issues with renting small, light trucks. We would save on the cost of renting a small truck every month and only need to cover repair/service and fuel costs for the new one. We could also possibly get a small income if we rent the truck to other NGOs.
With our own vehicle, Bumi Sehat could save on rental costs and also generate a small income by renting the truck to other NGOs, this covering operating and repair expense without drawing from the Bumi Sehat budget. We would also have a vehicle that could be shipped by boat to disaster sites in nearby islands within Indonesia to support staff when they work there.
