Poaching of the Arabian leopard is increasing

By Riadh Saif | Coordinator

Arabian tiger - Yemen
Arabian tiger - Yemen

Since the outbreak of the armed conflict in Yemen in 2015, the attention of the international community and humanitarian organizations has turned to supporting and saving human lives affected by armed conflict in all sectors in various regions of Yemen.
At the same time, on the other side of life, the wildlife in Yemen was subjected to almost total destruction. The endangered animals became in great danger and severely diminished due to poor protection and exposure to over-hunting as a result of the absence of government oversight and support.
Since the start of the armed conflict, 22 cases of illegal hunting of Arab tigers have been monitored, the latest of which is the hunting of two tigers in the Abyan governorate in southern Yemen.
The death of 2 of them was also monitored in the industrial reserves. The reason is due to the lack of food and the absence of health and veterinary care in the park, where each tiger gets half a meal per day.
Benefactors, we are betting heavily on your generous donations, to save what remains of the endangered Arabian tigers in Yemen.
