Project Rena is a project of El Shaddai based in Mumbai has been started to fight against child prostitution among the red light district of Turbhe Navi Mumbai for the development of women and children who are living under captivity. This project will also help in basic literacy, rescuing, life skill lessons, medical needs, and sewing projects to better their life along with empowering women. Project Rene plans to have a safe House for the women and children who want to be rescued.
Project Rena is a project of El Shaddai based in Mumbai has been started to fight against child prostitution among the red light district of Turbhe Navi Mumbai for the development of women and children who are living under captivity. Navi Mumbai, a red light district has a majority of women who are HIV positive. These women have been trafficked from different villages, cities of India, Nepal, and Bangladesh. A lot of injustice is done to the women and children who are living a demeaned life.
Project Rene wants to give meaning to their life and make them feel that they exist in the house accommodating 100 women and children, a house that never stops giving prostituted children a new home and a chance to live. This project will be their voice and address their needs. This project will also help in basic literacy, rescuing, life skill lessons, medical needs, and sewing projects to better their life along with empowering women.
