By Beatriz Aoki | Project Leader
Dear donors,
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your contributions to our campaign to protect critical areas of the Amazon rainforest, water sources, and local wildlife in Brazil.
Financial and Project Status
To date, we have raised US$ 378 toward our goal of acquiring and permanently protecting 45 hectares of native Amazon rainforest, including a vital natural spring that supplies a forest nursery capable of producing up to 450,000 seedlings per year. Of this total, US$ 271.15 has been transferred to SOS Amazônia.
Since our primary objective involves direct land acquisition and the formal transfer of ownership, the purchase can only be finalized once key fundraising milestones have been reached.
We want to assure all our donors that 100% of the transferred funds (US$ 271.15) remain secure in our project reserve account. No funds were spent during the last quarter, as we are keeping the capital intact while strengthening our fundraising strategy.
Next Steps and Strategic Alignment
Our team is actively working to refine and strengthen our fundraising strategy on the GlobalGiving platform, with the aim of reaching our overall goal. Key planned actions include:
Mobilizing Corporate and International Donors: Reaching out to corporate partners and networks engaged in environmental protection and biodiversity conservation;
Participating in GlobalGiving Campaigns: Aligning our outreach with upcoming GlobalGiving matching fund initiatives and Bonus Days to maximize the impact of every dollar donated;
Enhancing Communication and Digital Outreach: Creating engaging video updates and field reports to connect potential donors directly with the impact of protecting these 45 hectares.
Thank you once again for supporting SOS Amazônia and believing in the importance of protecting our forests and biodiversity. We will keep you updated as we move forward.
Sincerely,
The SOS Amazônia Team
