We have two victories to celebrate—and we wanted to share them with you, our dedicated supporters!
After 104 years of abusing and killing horses Hawthorne Race Course is CLOSED!
Hawthorne Race Course, located in Illinois, has officially shuttered, making it the 52nd U.S. track to close since 2000!
Another track gone. Another step toward ending horseracing.

TRIPADVISOR CALLS OUT ANIMAL CRUELTY
Tripadvisor, one of the world’s largest travel companies, has determined that animal-racing businesses, including horseracing, do not meet its Animal Welfare Policy.
Now, millions of travelers will encounter an animal-welfare warning when researching racetracks across the U.S. and around the world:
“This business does not currently meet Tripadvisor’s Animal Welfare Policy.”
This is a big step! A major global travel company is taking a stand against the inherent cruelty in horseracing—and sending an important message to the public.
Because of the dedication of our supporters and volunteers, our team works hard every day to achieve victories like these—victories that bring us closer to ending horseracing.
And we’re going to keep going!
Please donate to this campaign now to help us keep up the momentum!
Thank you for standing with us and being a voice for the horses.
