Her Disability Should Never Define Her Possibility

By JACKSON AMEH | Project Leader

Every woman deserves the opportunity to earn a living, make her own choices, participate in her community, and look toward the future with confidence.

Yet for many women with disabilities in vulnerable communities, these opportunities remain out of reach.

Barriers to education, employment and livelihoods can leave women economically dependent on family members, caregivers, or partners. And when a woman has limited financial independence or access to support, walking away from violence, exploitation, or an abusive situation can become even more difficult.

This is why creating opportunities matters.

GoGreen's Protecting Disabled Women from Gender-Based Violence project is working to create an environment where women with disabilities are not defined by what they cannot do, but supported to discover what they can achieve.

We want women to have more than a voice against violence. We want them to have choices.

A choice to pursue a livelihood.

A choice to contribute to their household.

A choice to participate confidently in community life.

And, importantly, the ability to seek safety without the fear that losing an abusive relationship also means losing their only means of survival.

Economic opportunity can be a powerful pathway toward dignity and independence.

Your donation can help us reach more women with disabilities with the knowledge, support, connections, and opportunities they need to become more resilient and self-reliant.

Imagine what becomes possible when a woman who has spent years being told about her limitations is finally given an opportunity to demonstrate her potential.

She doesn't need our pity.

She needs a fair opportunity.
