Every Woman Deserves to Live Free from Violence

Imagine facing violence simply because you are a woman. Now imagine facing even greater danger because you also live with a disability. For many women and girls with disabilities in conflict-affected communities of Benue State, Nigeria, this is their daily reality.

They face a higher risk of gender-based violence, child marriage, exploitation, neglect, and discrimination. Many suffer in silence because they have nowhere to seek help, few people understand their rights, and disability-related stigma often prevents them from accessing justice or support.

This should never be the reality for any woman.

At GoGreen Environmental Health Sustainability Initiatives, we believe that every woman deserves to live in safety, dignity, and freedom—regardless of her disability.

Through this project, we will provide women and girls with disabilities with rights education, psychosocial support, legal referrals, safe spaces, and livelihood opportunities while working alongside community leaders to challenge harmful social norms and prevent future violence.
