Despite significant progress, 44% of Nigerian girls still marry before the age of 18 (UNICEF, 2023). The intersection of disability, poverty, and conflict places girls in Guma at a unique disadvantage, often leaving them without adequate protection or support.
This project works at both the individual and community level to change the trajectory for 50 disabled girls and women. We provide education, legal support, and psychosocial care, while also engaging parents, religious leaders, and teachers to advocate for girls’ rights and challenge harmful traditions.
Your donation creates opportunities for girls to stay in school, access healthcare, and develop skills for future independence. You help change the narrative, showing communities that every girl—regardless of ability—deserves respect, protection, and the chance to define her own future.
Support our mission to end harmful traditions and unlock the potential of every girl.
