The latest Nigeria Demographic and Health Survey (2024) reports that 21% of women aged 15–49 have experienced physical or sexual violence. For women and girls with disabilities, the risk is even higher, and access to support is often limited. In conflict-affected areas like Guma, Benue State, instability and displacement magnify this vulnerability.
Our project offers a comprehensive safety net: education on rights, legal and health referrals, psychosocial counseling, and skills training for 50 women and girls. We also train community volunteers to identify cases of abuse and ensure survivors receive the care they need.
Donor support makes all the difference. Your contribution enables us to maintain safe spaces, expand outreach, and provide urgent assistance to those who need it most. Beyond immediate relief, your support helps foster community resilience by building a network of advocates committed to protecting vulnerable women and girls.
Together, we can build pathways to safety and hope. Your gift is an investment in a future where every woman and girl with a disability can live free from violence and fear.
