Women and girls with disabilities living in conflict-affected communities in Benue State face some of the highest risks of gender-based violence, discrimination, and exclusion. Too often, their voices go unheard, and their rights remain unprotected.
Through GoGreen's "Protecting Women and Girls with Disabilities from Violence" initiative, we are changing this reality by providing rights education, psychosocial support, community advocacy, and access to essential protection services. Our goal is to ensure that every woman and girl can live with dignity, safety, and equal opportunity.
We are encouraged to share that 11 women with disabilities in Guma Local Government Area have already received support through this initiative. These women are gaining access to protection services, increased awareness of their rights, and renewed confidence to participate actively in their communities. Each life reached represents a step toward breaking the cycle of violence and exclusion.
This is only the beginning. With your continued partnership, we aim to reach 50 women and girls with disabilities, creating safer communities where disability is never a barrier to protection, inclusion, or opportunity.
Your generosity is helping transform fear into hope, silence into confidence, and vulnerability into resilience. Thank you for standing with women and girls with disabilities and helping build a future where everyone can live free from violence.
